Materials Sandbox field notes
Convex hull
A lower energy boundary connecting the combinations favored by one particular computational model.
Why it matters
A point on a computed hull is model-relative. It is not proof that a material will form or survive at room conditions.
More precise language
The lower convex envelope of formation energies across composition, used to assess modeled decomposition stability relative to competing entries.
Use in the sandbox
Look for the model label.
Every result should identify its evidence type and conditions. If those are absent, the result is incomplete.
